Drives® Welded Stainless Steel chain is designed for horizontal, incline or vertical conveying applications that operate in a corrosive environment. The sidebars and barrels have 304 Series stainless steel for optimum corrosion resistance. Its pins are manufactured from 17-4PH (precipitation hardened) stainless steel to provide corrosion resistance and a hard surface to maximize the wear life of the chain. For less corrosive environments, Welded Stainless Steel chain can be designed with electroless nickel plated pins instead.
Features & Benefits
Starting with the best materials leads to higher strength and better wear life. Our manufacturing process begins with raw materials that meet exacting standards for metal grade, mechanical properties, carbon and alloy content to ensure minimization of impurities that impact tensile and fatigue strength.
Drives designs each component to exacting dimensional standards for optimal performance. Stainless steel sidebars, barrels and pins come together to make Welded Stainless Steel Chain. The pins are made with 17-4H stainless steel while the sidebars and barrels utilize a 304 Series stainless steel plating.
Strict control of atmosphere, time and temperature optimize the material properties – increasing strength, durability and wear resistance.
We use a proprietary lubrication process on all lubricated chains for enhanced corrosion protection and extended wear life.
Following assembly, all chains are preloaded to reduce initial run-in and extend the wear life of the chain.
Choosing the Chain for Your Application
